A trustee will charge a fee for setting up and administering your trust deed. This work includes (but is not restricted to): an initial meeting with a client or clients, post-meeting review and confirmation of options, preparation of trust deed document for signing, signing meeting, data input of details, advertising the trust deed, circularisation of correspondence to creditors, continuing correspondence with creditors and client as required, receiving and adjudicating creditor claims, review and realisation of assets where required, current status updates, statutory reporting to creditors and the Accountant in Bankruptcy, pursuing claims as required, preparing and distributing dividend payments to creditors, obtaining both the client’s and the Trustee’s discharge from the Trust Deed.
The fees charged by our recommended companies will depend on your individual circumstances.These fees (net of outlays) normally range between £2500 to £4500.
Please note that these fees are not paid in addition to your affordable monthly contribution to your Trust Deed, but are deducted from those funds, with the remaining available funds being repaid to your creditors.

You will not directly pay a fee to use the Debt Arrangement Scheme. This applies whether you use free sector or private sector advisers. However, 22% of your DAS payments are taken as fees to cover running costs. 2% goes to the Accountant in Bankruptcy. 20% gets kept by the Payment Distributor. By agreement, they may pay some of the 20% to your Continuing Money Adviser.
AMI Financial Solutions act as a Continuing Money Adviser for DAS cases and receive 15% of the payments from the Payment Distributor for this.. The work they are being paid for includes (but is not restricted to) an initial meeting with a client or clients, post-meeting review and confirmation of options, communicating with creditors, communicating with the payment distributor, and conducting annual reviews.
Wylie & Bisset act as a Continuing Money Adviser and also a Payment Distributor for their DAS cases; as such they retain 20% of the payments made. The work they are being paid for includes (but is not restricted to) an initial meeting with a client or clients, post-meeting review and confirmation of options, communicating with creditors, distributing funds to creditors and conducting annual reviews.
